Introduction
Violence and the history of women are extensively documented, but fragmented: the data exists, scattered among judicial institutions, medical services, archives, and community organizations, without a collective memory accessible to the public.
The Luméris Legacy Museum is the documentation and memory program of the Luméris Institute—a space designed to gather, structure, and transmit this memory.
More than just a look at the past, this place is conceived as a true tool for empowerment in the future.
The Course
The museum is structured into several thematic galleries that trace the origins, mechanisms, and resistance to gender inequality throughout history. Each gallery is conceived as a stage in the same narrative: that of a memory too long scattered, finally brought together.
This page is the museum's portal: it is here that its interactive experience will eventually take place — guided tour, immersive tour, testimonies.
The Living Source
This account draws in particular on the Observatory of Lived Experiences, a program for collecting and analyzing testimonies. Each testimony is gathered with the care it deserves — informed consent, anonymization, support — because a memory constructed without respect for those who share it is not a memory at all.
L'Ambition
The Luméris Legacy Museum is a program currently under development. Today, we are laying the foundations of this project—from the design of the galleries to the ethical protocol for collecting, including scientific governance—to ensure a solid structure before it opens to the public. Such a sensitive subject demands rigorous and thorough reflection.
Our ambition is to make this memory an essential basis for research, advocacy, and public action. It is crucial that lived experiences do not remain invisible and that what is not archived ceases to be erased.
This museum will not be created without you. It is a collective work, a memory that is written in the plural.
