Because we were never given the slightest chance.
Gender inequalities are everywhere and shape our world.
Because we have asked enough, hoped enough, begged enough for access to basic rights that we should never have lost or had to justify.
For centuries, women have spoken out, raised the alarm, denounced, and organized themselves, but all too often, the voices of victims still struggle to be heard.
Violence persists, fear takes root, justice progresses, but impunity persists.
Nothing will change as long as we continue to play by rules designed to constrain us.
So, we decided to do things differently…
