We solve it.

What the world shows us, every day:

United States - When child protection becomes a mother's trap: the "Failure to Protect" omerta

January 2026

A recent court case in the United States illustrates with brutal violence the drift denounced by social science research: a mother was charged with negligence after her 9-year-old son fatally shot a man, himself the author of a history of abuse. Instead of acknowledging the context of control and immediate danger in which this family was trapped, the system chose to punish the mother for failing to prevent the unimaginable. This case embodies the concept of "failure to protect", where the judicial institution turns its violence against the secondary victim, demanding from a woman a clear-sightedness and omnipotence that she does not possess, while exonerating the structures that have failed to secure her.

At Luméris:
True protection does not lie in making the sufferer feel guilty, but in the full and complete responsibility of the perpetrators of violence and the institutions that tolerate them.

World – The invisible wall that blocks girls' access to schools

October 2025

Fille lisant dehors

Worldwide, more than 129 million girls are still not in school. Behind this UN figure lies a stark reality: millions of young girls see their futures stolen by powerful barriers. Forced marriages, extreme poverty, oppressive social norms, and a lack of safe infrastructure form a daily obstacle that deprives them of their fundamental right to education.

At Luméris:
Education is not a privilege; we believe in a world where every girl can hold the key to her own destiny.

UN Women highlights a historic regression in women's rights in conflict zones, a dramatic increase in sexual violence (nearly 90% in two years), and warns that 676 million women live in the immediate vicinity of deadly clashes, the highest level since the 1990s.

At Luméris:
We are organizing ourselves so that we no longer remain powerless in the face of these attacks.

The HCE publishes an alarming report finding that too many victims of rape and sexual assault are confronted with a judicial and social system that minimizes their suffering, delays or abandons the investigation, and leaves the perpetrators unpunished.

At Luméris:
We propose a model of restorative justice, free from the impunity that is still too often trivialized

Planète – Une septième limite planétaire est franchie : l’acidification des océans

The global scientific community is sounding the alarm: Earth has crossed a seventh planetary boundary—ocean acidification. This phenomenon, caused by the massive absorption of carbon dioxide emitted by human activities, is disrupting the chemical balance of the seas, and the consequences are already visible

At Luméris:
We are committed to a world where women's rights and environmental justice advance together.

An act that transforms the vulnerability of girls into an official commodity. According to the WNCRI report, between 500,000 and 600,000 girls are married each year, some as young as five.

Law 1041 of the Civil Code authorizes the marriage of girls under the age of 13 with the consent of the court and the guardian. As a result, many young girls commit suicide each year, unable to bear the burden of an arranged marriage.

At Luméris:

We strongly support the unwavering right to a peaceful childhood, free from any form of early sexualization.

World – One in four countries reports a decline in women's rights

These setbacks affect essential areas such as access to education, reproductive health, freedom of expression, and protection against violence.

This alarming trend highlights a global erosion of women's rights, threatening decades of struggle and progress.
Some nations justify these setbacks with economic crises, cultural considerations, or conservative policies.

At Luméris:
We are building a space free from these logics of domination where women's rights are neither negotiable nor revocable.

January 2025

The European Court of Human Rights has condemned France for displaying sexist stereotypes and gender bias in its handling of several cases of rape, incest, and assault involving female plaintiffs.
This landmark decision underscores the persistent flaws in the French judicial system, where women's voices are still too often discredited or minimized.

At Luméris:

The word of victims is used as a means of justice rather than legitimizing a system where an aggressor enjoys more rights than his victims.

World – The ecofeminist movement put to the test of time

Février 2025

Sauvez la planète

Ecofeminists argue that the domination of women, nature, and minorities is rooted in the same patriarchal-capitalist and colonial system of exploitation. Climate change exacerbates inequalities, disproportionately impacting women and children. In some countries, the number of deaths from natural disasters is up to 14 times higher among women and children than among men.

At Luméris:
We promote the vision that the fight for women's rights and the protection of nature are inseparable.

These facts are not anomalies.
They are symptoms of a system.

We are not just seeking to heal the wounds,
but to change the rules of the game.
